It occurs to me that I haven’t really defined ways to consider perishable things; what is perishable in Plato’s mind is not what is perishable in my mind. For starters, I would never lose my stories or my sentiment.

No republic, no cave; rocking the foundations of antiquated copyright ought to be a fairly simple process from an Arendtian standpoint. We may build the tools, but then the tools come to shape us. Digital media is now, and it leaves much behind (like the feel of silky old paper) to follow its mission. But we wont miss a bit of it. All parties go forward stronger, unless, in their fight to resist the inevitable, they are lost.
